White Sangria Wine Recipe

A lot of people have a white sangria wine recipe.  Here are a couple I like.  If you would like a more complete version of great tasting white Sangria recipes click here.

White wines are known for their citrus and green apple flavors.  The following two recipes enhance those flavors.

white sangria wine recipesMy family seems to like the tartness of green apples more than the sweetness of red apples.  We use this recipe when we’re in a “green apple” mood.

Not sure what a green apple mood is, but I just know if you like a little sourness, this sangria is for you.  If like green apples but not the tartness, then increase the sugar and you’ll be fine.

Green Apple White Sangria Wine Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle dry white wine
  • 4 ounces of Apple liquor
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2 ripe peaches, cut into wedges
  • 2 ripe green apples seeded and cut into wedges
  • 1 pint raspberries
  • 1/4 cup of simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water.  Heat in stovetop pan until sugar dissolves, cool and add to mixture
    1 8 oz can of sprite or carbonated water

Directions

Set aside enough fruit to fill your glasses halfway. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours.

Combine sugar, apple liqueur, lime, lemon, peaches and apples in a large pitcher.

Add the bottle of wine and refrigerate a minimum of 4 hours. Just before serving, spoon reserved fruits into glasses and pour sangria wine over top fruit. Top glasses of sangria off with a splash of carbonated water or sprite and serve.

Kicked Up Traditional White Sangria Wine Recipe

OK, the above recipe is if you like the tartness of green apples.  But what if you’re craving citrus with a little kick?  Then you’ll love the white wine, brandy and orange liqueur flavors.  Whew-hoooo brandy!!

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle white wine
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (Triple Sec)
  • 1/4 cup of simple syrup
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1  orange, sliced
  • 1  lemon, sliced
  • 1/2 cup club soda or 4 ounces of sprite



Directions

In a pitcher combine the wine, brandy, orange liqueur and sugar and orange juice.  Set the club soda aside.  Add the orange and lemon slices, and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours.  Add the club soda or sprite and serve over ice.
