Sangria Recipes Red Wine

Red Sangria has always been my favorite.  That seems to be true for most people, as well.  My family enjoys both of these recipes in part because they are classic.  I’ve always thought classics were classics for good reason.  The two recipes below are as classic as they get.

These are great recipes to get started.  I would definitely try these before you move on to variations.  Enjoy!

Easy Version of Sangria Recipes red wine

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle red Spanish table wine
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup simple syrup, or more to taste (equal parts sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves, then cooled)
  • Orange slices
  • Lemon Slices
  • Apple slices
  • 1/4 cup of raspberries
  • 8 ounces of sprite or 7 up or you can substitute carbonated water

Directions

Mix all ingredients together except the sprite or carbonated water and let stand in a pitcher for at least 4 hours in the refrigerator.  Add the sprite or carbonated water just before serving.

Serve over ice and enjoy


Here’s the Kicked Up Version of sangria recipes red wine

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle red Spanish table wine
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup triple sec
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup simple syrup, or more to taste (equal parts sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves, then cooled)
  • Orange slices
  • Lemon Slices
  • Apple slices
  • 8 ounces of sprite or 7 up or you can substitute carbonated water

Directions

Mix all ingredients except the sprite or carbonated water together and let stand in a pitcher for at least 4 hours in the refrigerator.  Add the sprite or carbonated water just before serving.

Serve over ice and enjoy.
